Its been a shocking news for the Andy Roddick fans as the American 5th seed players was crashed out of Wimbledon. Andy Roddick was outclassed by Taiwanese Lu Yen-hsun in a nail biting five long set, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 7-6, 7-9. It was really a tough game but the credit goes to Lu Yen-hsun who fought brilliantly to over the top seed player. However world No:1 and 2008 Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal advanced to the next round as he had an easy win against Paul Henri Mathieu of France 6-4,6-7,7-6,7-9.
Meanwhile it will be a great match for the quarter finals of the Wimbledon as the No:1 championship faces sixth seed Robin Soderling, who has won the match against Spanish ninth seed David Ferrer by 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.
Lu will be facing 3rd seed Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals after the Serbian ace defeated former world No.1 Lleyton Hewitt, 7-5, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
