The ever so popular NBA Live games franchise will be re-branded on its release this October, on that time onwards it will be named “NBA Elite” as EA Sports President Peter Moore announced, “We plan to profoundly evolve the interactive basketball experience in a way that the category has not seen for a decade,”
With the new name, Electronic Arts Sports (EA Sports) also added that in NBA Elite 11 they will introduce a new experience for its fans who were begging for court controllability in a basketball video game for years.
The previous release “NBA Live 10” will be the last series to bear that name (not unless they decide to retro-brand later on) with the new Elite franchise EA assures “NBA Live” to have a more improved in the controls system of the game as more free movements and a “real-time physics system” that will allow players for more faster reaction time.
With “NBA Elite 11” players would experience a basketball simulation game like no other, which allowing players to control every movement from dribbling, shot, dunks, lay-ups, steals and block in real time featuring also its one-to-one control. As creative director David Littman of the game puts it. “You’re no longer going to push a button and watch the computer generate a long animation sequence.”
“It’s a whole new game that warranted a brand new name to fully capture the transformation we intend to deliver in NBA ELITE.” Jordan Edelstein, Vice President for Marketing Electronic Arts (EA) Sports.
As of the moment, “NBA Elite 11’ EA Sports announced that the game will initially be available for Sony’s’ Playstation 3 computer entertainment system and Microsoft’s Xbox 360. The game will be available to public in October at $USD59.99 (price may vary without prior notice).
