iPad Sales Update on 60 Days : Whooping 2 million units sold

Maker of the new “it” tablet like device announced its 2 million sales in just a span of merely 2 months. Apples’ iPAD soared high since it’s release last April 3. A few weeks back, the company released the sought after gadget in Japan and a few days after in France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and the United Kingdom. The item sold at about $600 a piece now estimated revenue could already have hit the $1 billion mark or even more.
In an Interview, Apple’s Ceo was quoted “Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to love it as much as we do, We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.”
As expected, iPad is now listed as yet another runaway success for the company, which began its reign in the business of consumer electronics since 2001 when it introduce to the market of the iconic iPod (which also sold more over 250 million units worldwide) and who can forget the Mac, Apples’ flagship product that has a selling record of 2.8 million units a quarter, and the iPhone (is expected also to release a 4G version soon) which also sold more than 50 million units since it was launched.
Now the company’s shares have moved from $12 in the year 200 to $272 at present. Apple is the second largest company traded on any us exchange by market cap, at $234 billion followed by Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM).
