Chris Leben vs Yoshihiro Akiyama Results : Fight of the Night?

We are very hyped on this fight of Chris Leben vs Yoshihiro Akiyama in the UFC 116. We posted some articles regarding Chris Leben’s step on accepting the fight against Yoshihiro Akiyama that supposed to be Wanderlei Silva. We know Leben’s game is really a hard one and taking Akiyama on a very short notice is really awesome and dangerous.

But the Crippler stands and exchange with Akiyama that is predicted by many. Leben shows maturity on his fight on stand up and in the ground. The main highlights on this fight is the takedowns of Akiyama using is superb Judo skills. We are also aware of Leben’s stand up but his ground game is great which I saw at the first. Defending on his back and near submission keeps our sit on a high temperature.

Before the end of 3rd round, Leben finished the match with a triangle choke. It was a hell of a fight and we are predicting for the Fight of the Night or the Submission of the Night award but even this fight will not be awarded it still a win win for Leben and for all fans.
