China Renews Google License

Atlast it will be a great relief for the Google after being halted by government for past 4 months. Google came up with the announcement that their talks with the government went out smoothly after a compromise was reached between Google and Chinese government. So this has made the ways to continue the Google service back with China. The Chinese government confirmed that it has renewed Google’s license to operate in the country, ending a month’s long conflict that stemmed from China’s strict censorship rules.

This compromise includes came after Google confirming that they will never automatically reroute the traffic of Google.cn to its Hong Kong counterpart. The conflict between china na Google came after they automatically rerouted Google.cn users to the Hong Kong websites. Under the new terms, Google users in the mainland can still access the Hong Kong version but it would require them to click a link.

This new contract with the Goggle will be open till next year where expert’s claims that the online advertising market would attain more than $20 billion gain in next few years. China could also benefit from the presence of Google as it tries to fend off allegations of having a not so friendly economic environment for foreign companies.
